“They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.”  – Acts 2:46-47

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together: helping one another, meeting together, praying together, serving together and growing in life together. It’s the environment where life change occurs.

What exactly does it mean to Live, to Grow and to Serve in our community? Canvas Groups have plenty to offer to get you involved.

Registration for Winter 2020 Groups begins January 12th. Don’t miss out, groups fill up fast. Groups begin the week of January 25th.

Bring your bible and your caffeine. This will be a very casual morning spent in our bibles or journals. Bible art journaling is a growing movement, where many are creating on the pages of our Bible as a devotional process.  The idea is to engage more freely with the Word of God in new ways and to record personally inspiring scriptures in creative and artistic ways, which serve to remind us of moments in our personal journey with God and help us grow in our faith. There is a $5 per semester fee to help purchase supplies for the group.

Have you ever questioned what unites us all as a Christian community? Do you want to discuss how to apply these principles to your daily life?

Join us and bring all of your questions to our group. We will discuss the Vineyard Movement, Canvas Church and the very core of who we are as believers and what it means to be a body of believers being the church together.

As entrepreneurs and homeschooling parents, doctors and plumbers, white, blue and pink collar-workers we will sit down and discuss our work as a common call to follow Jesus in all of life. Whether we struggle with complaining at work, defensiveness, fearing the future, frustration, or troubling ethical decisions, work brings challenges to each of us that we cannot handle apart from Jesus Christ. We can build a bridge between our personal faith and our everyday workplace. We will discuss practical ways to live out our faith in secular jobs, how to be a witness and speak the truth of the gospel even in the days when “religion” is no longer a permissible conversation.

Every day men face challenges, and every day most of us work out our responses to those challenges by leaning on the same old tired arguments that failed us time and again in our past. Not surprisingly we end up back in the same old places, dealing with anger, judging, lust, addictions, doubt, immaturity, impatience, you name it, the path from our heads to those places is well worn and easy to walk.

But what if we started making our decisions based on the new man we are in Christ? What if we would train ourselves to evaluate each step we take by His standard, by His idea of who we are and not the old man we were? What if we did it with a band of accountability brothers leaning on the strength and promises that Jesus gave us on the cross.

This will be a men’s small group where we make a commitment to actively face and evaluate our challenges and embrace the decisions that each step carries. What is said in Fight Club, stays in Fight Club.

We were created to know and enjoy God, and to depend on Him for our every need. Sadly, though, we often look to the things of this world to satisfy us, and we are constantly tempted to rely on ourselves rather than on God’s wisdom and power. In Secret Church 19, we’ll see that all of Scripture invites us to pursue God, and we’ll see how crucial the role of prayer and fasting is in this pursuit. Beginning in Genesis and moving all the way through Revelation, David Platt shows us that God has designed prayer and fasting not only to meet our daily needs but more importantly so that we might find greater intimacy and satisfaction in Him. We’ll also see the critical role of prayer and fasting in carrying out the mission Christ gave to His church—to make disciples of all nations.

From movies and television, to print media and the Internet, men are constantly faced with the assault of sensual images. It is impossible to avoid such temptations... but, thankfully, not impossible to confront them and gain victory over them! This group is for men who find themselves ensnared by sexual immorality and desire to break the chains that bind them.Together we will look at our lusts, where they comes from, and what we can do to keep our passions in check.

So, brother if you are weary and battle torn I invite you to join us. Together we will stand strong and pursue righteous living.

May you recognize in your life the presence, power, and light of your soul. May you realize that you are never alone, that your soul in its brightness and belonging connects you intimately with the rhythm of the universe. May you have respect for your individuality and difference. May you realize that the shape of your soul is unique, that you have a special destiny here, that behind the facade of your life there is something beautiful and eternal happening. May you learn to see yourself with the same delight, pride, and expectation with which God sees you in every moment.
