“They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.”  – Acts 2:46-47

Church is more than a service. It’s people living life together: helping one another, meeting together, praying together, serving together and growing in life together. It’s the environment where life change occurs.

What exactly does it mean to Live, to Grow and to Serve in our community? Canvas Groups have plenty to offer to get you involved.

Registration for Fall 2019 Groups begins August 11th. Don’t miss out, groups fill up fast. Groups begin the week of August 25th.

Join us for a casual, fun morning as we highlight and map our way through all the Virtues of the Bible. Through this project, you will always have quick reference to everything the Bible has to say about any given virtue, such as Steadfastness, Compassion, Wisdom, Courage, Unity, Faithfulness, Devotion to the Word, etc, so that when confronted with a difficult time, you can quickly find all biblical direction and guidance on that specific topic.

The Virtue Training Bible is a tool that allows parents and children(and anyone that loves the Word of God) to go directly to the pages of Scripture for instruction in 42 virtues. To make a Virtue Training Bible you will use the VTB charts that include over 500 Old Testament and New Testament Scripture references. The VTB Charts also include three-part prayers for each virtue. Make a VTB for your family to have Scripture accessible and central in your home.

Bring your bible and your caffeine. This will be a very casual morning spent in our bibles or journals. Bible art journaling is a growing movement, where many are creating on the pages of our Bible as a devotional process.  The idea is to engage more freely with the Word of God in new ways and to record personally inspiring scriptures in creative and artistic ways, which serve to remind us of moments in our personal journey with God and help us grow in our faith. There is a $5 per semester fee to help purchase supplies for the group.

Are you new here, new to Christian community, Canvas Church, and the Vineyard movement?

Do you have questions about our core beliefs and values? Do you wonder why we do some of things we do like worship, prayer, groups, communion, and baptisms? Have you ever questioned what unites us all as a Christian community? Do you want to discuss how to apply these principles to your daily life?

Join us and bring all of your questions to our group. We will discuss the Vineyard Movement, Canvas Church and the very core of who we are as believers and what it means to be a body of believers being the church together.

John Wimber's teaching influenced many Christians, both inside and out of the Vineyard movement. One of the key foundations of his teaching was intimacy with God, rather than religious habit and discipline. He strongly emphasized signs and wonders, which he referred to as "Doin' the Stuff", the priesthood of every believer and that every Christian has the ability to prophesy and heal the sick. While this is not a new concept, Wimber was a key figure in the introduction of the concept that praying for the sick (or anything else) shouldn't be saved for special healing services, but should take place at every Church service, and out on the streets (by every believer).
