Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk
in them.
We are called to "seek first the Kingdom of God" in all that we do. This command directs everything in our church, families and lives. From the sanctuary to the streets we want to see the Kingdom of God come.
We live in troubled times and sometimes hope seems like a distant promise at best. People that need the help that only Jesus can give surround us. These situations can be messy, but we are called to go and declare freedom over the captives.
The Word of God says that we are to worship in "Spirit and in Truth." We must learn and live standing on the truth of the Word of God and empowered by the Spirit of God.
In a day and age where real relationships are hard to find, the church must live as the family of God. We are not just called to go to church together, but to live life together. Through services, groups, and everyday life we can live together as the family of God.
The church is full of gifting, skills, and talents that can be used for the glory of God. Every person has things that can be used to worship, edify the church, and reach the world. The work of the church is not meant to be held in the hands of just a few. Everyone gets to be part of what God is doing.
We are Fearless and Unashamed
Following Jesus means "picking up your cross" and chasing after him with everything you have. The spirit of fear is not from God, and has no place in the life of a believer. The church of today must be fearless and unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
